How many weddings do you host at a time?

We only have 1 wedding at a time.

Are you licensed?

Yes, we are licensed under the Alcohol & Gaming Commission of Ontario. Alcoholic beverages are served until 1:00am. Private alcohol is not permitted on our premises anytime indoors or outdoors.

Can we supply our own food/wine?

We do not allow outside food other than your own wedding cake or wedding cupcakes.

Outside wine is not permitted.

What is your maximum capacity?

Harvest Room – 75 people

The Loft Room – 120 people

Outside with Tent – 200 people

How is the food served?

Appetizers can be stationary or passed.

Dinners can be buffet, plated or a combination.

What about special dietary restrictions?

Our chefs are able to customized meals for any dietary restrictions. Please be sure to advise us 72 hours before your event of any dietary restrictions.

Should I supply meals for my vendors? (DJ, Photographer, Officiate)

We suggest that you do. Please include them in your final numbers.

Do you charge a cake cutting fee?

We will cut the cake and provide plates and forks at no charge.

Can I have candles?

We do not allow open flamed candles. Tea lights and candles with enclosed flames are fine.

Can we decorate? Who decorates the room?

Yes, you can decorate. It is your responsibility to decorate or hire someone to come in. We have a lovely ambience so you may only want some simple decorations.

Can we get married at Winchelsea?

Yes, you can get married right here on-site. We have beautiful grounds for wedding ceremonies to take place.

What happens if it rains?

We would be able to move the ceremony inside.

Is there a fee to get our pictures taken before dinner if we aren’t married at Winchelsea?

There is no fee to use our gardens for pictures if you are having your reception here.

What is the cost for having a wedding and reception?

Every wedding is different so we don’t give a set fee. Our facility fee ranges from $600–$1,200.

What does the Facility Rental Fee include?

It includes use of house table cloths, all cutlery and dishware, tables and chairs (within venue), set up and tear down, wedding coordinator, licensed bar, and staff.

How do I get an estimate?

We like to meet the bride and groom to discuss the details in person and then we provide a quote.

Do you provide a tent and chairs for outdoor ceremonies?

No, but we can help facilitate rental arrangements of the items you might need.

When can we have our rehearsal?

You can have your rehearsal here pending other events. The charge is $50.00/hour (should your rehearsal/decorating exceed three hours)
